A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Volunteers for Making Black Rock Day Unforgettable!

The Black Rock Community Council extends our deepest gratitude to all the incredible neighborhood volunteers who helped make this year’s Black Rock Day truly unforgettable. Your energy, generosity, and enthusiasm created a flawless day filled with sunshine, music, and community spirit.

Thanks to your support, we raised nearly $2,000 for the Wakeman Boys and Girls Club—an amazing contribution that will directly benefit local youth. In addition, we were proud to support the Bassick High School Running Club, sponsoring 30 runners and their coaches for this year’s Run for the Rock.

None of this would have been possible without each and every one of you. Thank you for showing up and showing what Black Rock is all about—heart, community, and connection.

It was such an honor to have Fred Haschak as this year’s Grand Marshal for the 2025 Black Rock Day Parade, who is truly emblematic of all that is good with our community. Parade Chair Phil Blagys presents the Grand Marshal plaque to Fred in the photo below. Congratulations Fred!!!
