The "Best Small Parade in America" Returns on June 11th Kicking Off at Noon from the Burroughs Community Center
This year's event will feature The Sailing Masters of 1812 Fife and Drum Corps debut performance in the Black Rock Day Parade. The
Corps is based in Essex, CT, was founded in 1963 and commemorates the role of Essex in the War
of 1812 with an annual Commemoration "Burning of the Ships".
In addition to the Sail Masters, our parade will also include The Black Rock Fife and Drum Corps, The Connecticut Alumni Senior Drum & Bugle Corps, The Fairfield Gaelic Pipe Band, local bands, the Klein Memorial Dancers, Amazing Andy and much more.
And since our parade theme this year is "Celebrating the Bicentennial of the Fayerweather Lighthouse", we will showcase images our neighborhood's icon.
It's going to be another great parade and we are extremely excited to bring this marching extravaganza back to our community. Stay tuned for more!!
